About

Who am I?

I’m a musician. I listen to a pretty wide range of music. I love to travel. I love nature and being outside, looking at all the beautiful mountains surrounding me.

I’m a bit of a nerd when it comes to numbers and Excel spreadsheets. Before going into business, my childhood dream was to become a teacher.

I love my country and the freedom that we have to live as Americans. I’m a Christian and attend church weekly with my daughter. Having raised chickens and goats in the past, right now we have two horses, Brewster and Homer.

I've lived a bit of life

I first lost my mother to cancer when she was 50 years old in 2012. It was tough and very surreal to watch and live through. But after, we all moved on and my dad, brother and I each found our separate ways in life.

Shortly after my mom passed, I met the most wonderful girl ever. We married in 2014 and in 2019 had our first daughter. And then we found out my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer that quickly spread and took her life in 2023.

Losing two incredibly important people to me in the span of about a decade has taught me a lot of life lessons. It’s definitely been a test of my faith, but it has also taught me to be grateful for every day that I get to wake up and enjoy this life. I love my daughter and she is my world!

I've got the experience

For 11 years, I served as the Chief Financial Officer of My Day Counts. It is a $10 million nonprofit organization that serves adults with developmental disabilities through adult day programs, job coaching and independent living support. Managing the finances for an organization that relies heavily on government funding was no easy task.

Working directly with the Chief Executive Officer over this span of time at My Day Counts was pretty similar to a financial advisor-client relationship. We would discuss different ideas and I had to come up with the financial analysis to back whether or not it was a good move.

Working as a financial advisor is very similar. I meet with people who’ve got a certain amount of money and a certain goal in mind. Is it achievable? Does it need tweaking? How do we get from point A to point B? These are the mysteries I love to solve!

Why I enjoy what I do

Perhaps the most fun part of my job is meeting new people and learning about what they do for a living. I find learning about how one makes money to be very fascinating. It opens your mind to all of the possibilities out there.

Being a financial advisor is something I’ve always wanted to do since my college days. Yet at the time I always thought, “Who would trust a 20-year-old with their money?” I enjoy the world of investing and finding ways to help people’s money grow over time. I enjoy helping my clients plan for their future and guide them towards making wise financial decisions.
